Week 9

Happy Friday!

Each week a group of wonderful photographers from Beautiful Beasties Network challenges each other to take on an assignment. This is a great way to network, get to know each other, and just try new things in general.

This weeks theme is texture. Photographers have no limits to their imagination. Often we can place limits on ourselves, it is fun to explore. I am so lucky that I am currently in Florida, when it comes to texture, I have lots of options to play with. No snow here :)

I took the pups out and went hunting for a nature's texture. On this photo Katchka is sitting on red mulch and she is framed by a bush to her left and sea grass to her right. What a great texture! Love diversity!!

The next image Kika volunteered to pose for me on a wooden surface. Adding diversity to the photo is necessary to keep photos interesting. Also shallow DOF helps add a bit of texture behind Kika.

I have to say, I was really excited about this photo of Katchka and Kika. My pups are conditioned to stare into the camera, when camera is present. They always get super yummy treats. A year later every single time when the camera is present they will stare. Rarely do I have a photo, when the girls are not looking. I love this photo taken on a top of few rocks, because the girls are touching, but both looking away. Rarely get them look away. Here it goes my triangle composition :) The rock adds great texture, I wish to have more of the rock presented... this was a quick shot!

Next, since the grass is just coming back. I have utilized bushes behind my pups to add color, texture, and just fun background. It looks like Spring is here! I hope these photos will remind my dear friends up north that Spring is coming soon!! Hang in there, I know this winter was truly a challenge. Sunny greetings from Florida from Pavlina and the Three Musketeers!
