Each week a group of wonderful photographers from Beautiful Beasties Network challenges each other to take on an assignment. This is a great way to network, get to know each other, and just try new things in general.
This weeks theme is action. I absolutely love shooting any type of action at the shelter. I do my best to preserve the true personality of each pup. Lots of dogs come with high level energy and I want to ensure the potential adopter can see that. I haven't taken any action photos of my pups, because it was a bit cold this week and my older girls have a hard time moving around in colder weather. Cold LOL in Florida but we had some cold winter :)
Here is a photo of Jack Russell Terrier boy and his action was to strike a pose ;) He has gotten that down perfectly! Plus good news after I posted his photo on social media, he was rescued. Glad, the shelter is full, he would have no chance. Yes!
Here is little Beagle princess dancing on her hind legs. Can you tell, she is food motivated? She is still available, in case anyone is looking ;)
On this photo sweet Shih Tzu girl is giving the volunteer high ten! She knew sit, shake, and high ten. Sadly nobody is looking for her. She is still available.
Here are few more running shots of the shelter pups. Love these happy pups running, enjoying a bit of freedom before going back to the small kennel. The pup on the left was reclaimed by its original owner - yes! The pup on the right is still available.
Everything I do and how I feel reflect in my photos, but I could not done any of it without my lovely and dedicated volunteers. Every Tuesday few volunteers comes out to wrangle these pups for me. In super full shelter it helps so much. On the last photo I have sitting action LOL
I hope you had fun and enjoyed my weekly project, maybe want to adopt a puppy or two :) . Head over to view translation of our project to Greater Cincinnati photographer, Carol Locey Photography.
