The year of 2013 was truly big adventure for Pavlina Sanborn Photography. I have been working with some great rescues and organizations. Taking photos of adoptable pups and kitties in Massachusetts area. I have been very fortunate that the word got out quickly and I was very busy saving lives up north. Little did I know last year by this time that I will have to move away and leave a lot to be proud of behind.
I am grateful and honored for my newly found talent. My mom told me this week, that ever since she remembers, I was always into dog training and photography. For anyone who knows me personally dog training has been large part of my life for over 17 years now. Nobody really knew about photography. I have always had my point and shoot camera with me, everywhere I went.
This year was big, the FB was finally ready to go, the website was build, and launched. I have met some amazing talented people that I am forever thankful for their help. The network and support of others is a key for starting business. I have had great clients and even better fuzzy faces that I met before I left north.
When I moved to Florida everything has changed for better. I have learned so much more about photography, I am tested daily with ever changing light or amazing shelter models, with a reminder that it is not an easy task to take great photo. I have seen many great dogs come into the shelter, many get adopted, sadly some never left the shelter... Being a volunteer in a kill shelter changed my life forever. Nobody knows what goes on and I wish people would know, because that would change their perception on why foster, why volunteer, why adopt, why share on social media... there is so much that people have no idea about. I try my best in a positive way to share how difficult it can be to volunteer with these amazing animals and dedicated loving volunteers. I have also started working with few rescues and hi-kill shelter in Orlando. I have been very busy saving lives one photo at a time. This sentence has slowly became my motto.
The year of 2013 was a huge part of Pavlina Sanborn Photography and I will always look back with gratitude and honor. So much has happened. Also several photos were awarded as a Top Ten Image with Hair of the Dog Network. I have became a member of a great International Organization HeART's Speak. I have received vast support from HeART's Speak that I am left speechless about. I have met some amazing people behind camera all over the world and I feel honored. These small steps keep me in a right direction and I believe together we all can do so much.
I had the honor to photograph some great pups with their owners. I am looking forward 2014 while gaining more clients, saving more lives, and meeting some great photographers.
Ready or not the New Year is HERE! Make the best out of 2014!
xo,
Pavlina
